ACI Micro-Internships by Parker Dewey

Micro-Internships are short-term, paid, professional assignments similar to those completed by new hires or summer interns. However, unlike traditional internships, Micro-Internships can take place year-round, typically range from 10 to 40 hours of work, and projects are due between one week and one month after kickoff. Micro-Internships enable career launchers (college students and recent graduates) to demonstrate skills, explore career paths and build their networks as they seek the right full-time role. They are used by companies as large as those in the Fortune 100, or as small as emerging start-ups, and they extend across departments, including sales, marketing, technology, HR and finance.

Students from ACI-member colleges and universities can apply for Micro-Internships at any time. Micro-Internships are facilitated via the Parker Dewey platform, making it easy for companies, schools and students to benefit from the program, as there are no administrative barriers. For more information, contact Daisy Gomez, director, administration and scholarships at dgomez@acifund.org.

Not only can you explore different career paths and work on interesting assignments, you can also demonstrate your abilities to potential employers while building your professional portfolio and network. Beyond that, your academic experience will improve as you apply what is taught in the classroom to the real world (and vice versa). Oh, did we forget to mention that you get paid for all of this?

ACI/FORVIS Micro-Internship Project by Parker Dewey

To help raise awareness of micro-internships among students attending ACI's member colleges and universities, FORVIS LLP sponsored the ACI | FORVIS Micro-Internship Scholarships in Spring of 2023. Students from each participating school that applied for at least four Micro-Internships or secured one Micro-Internship were eligible for the scholarships. A total of 18 scholarship recipients were selected by financial aid staff from various campuses.
