Embarc Micro-Internship Program

At no cost, you can work with Florida college students and alumni on short-term, professional projects.

How it Works

Your first 5 projects ($300 each) are funded by the Frederick A. DeLuca Foundation when you select a Florida student or graduate.
Create a Parker Dewey account and post your project.
Florida students and alumni apply.

The work gets done, the student gets paid, professional experience!

Lead Generation

Identify 25 companies/contacts in a market that you specify. Once identified, the student will provide the company name and contact information for key decision makers.

Content Creation

Research and draft an article/blog on a specific topic that you provide. It will also reference relevant outside sources, and the final product will be carefully edited.

Market Research

Create a market analysis for an industry that you specify. The student will name existing companies in the space and identify key drivers of success or failure.

Data Cleansing

Provide a student with a dataset and have them remove duplicates, update outdated records, ensure there is consistent formatting, etc. so that it is ready for you to analyze.

Extracting Insights from Data

Review and manipulate a data set that you provide. Draft a summary of actionable insights that they have extracted from their analysis.

KPI and Trends Report

Using financial, product, and/or other publicly-available data, prepare a report to highlight key KPIs and trends for a target industry or company that you identify.

Updating Marketing Collateral

Have a student make changes to existing pieces of marketing collateral based on a new campaign or initiative.

Competitor UX Review and Recommendations

Conduct comprehensive user experience testing on the site of one of your competitors and highlight the strengths and weaknesses of their UX.

Diversity Best Practices Manual

Identify and review articles that highlight the importance of diversity in organizations, best practices, and challenges for implementation. Summarize key points in a single document.

Sourcing Candidates

Provide a job description and have the student identify candidates for that role. The student provides a brief justification on why they selected these candidates and potential questions to use in an interview.

Student Engagement Strategy

Develop a strategy to engage students at a specific college to drive interest in applying to roles at your organization. Identify metrics that can measure the effectiveness of the campaign.

As part of its mission to allow students to ensure equitable pathways from college to career, the Frederick A. DeLuca Foundation is pleased to launch its Micro-Internship program.  This unique program provides short-term, paid, professional opportunities to a diverse population of Connecticut and Florida community college, university, and other post-secondary students.

All costs associated with providing these opportunities including payments of up to $300 to each Micro-Intern will be funded by the Frederick A. DeLuca Foundation and processed by Parker Dewey.
