The SIGNALS Program is generously funded by a grant Parker Dewey has received from the GitLab Foundation. The Foundation is primarily focused on initiatives that have the greatest relative impact on an individual's earning potential.

As such, the SIGNALS Program is focused on supporting initiatives that will:

• Support students who may not otherwise have been able to access paid, career enhancing opportunities
• Engaging employers who actively recruit and hire college students and recent graduates
• Increase students’ confidence in their ability to get hired for their target job

Schools and organizations selected for this program agree to engage employers who actively recruit and hire college students and recent graduates. Parker Dewey will collaborate with participants to co-design a program for the intended outcomes.

• Employers can be for-profit, non-profit or government organizations 
• Employers do not need to be current or past Parker Dewey clients
• Employers can host one or multiple Micro-Internships and can engage one or more students on a single project
• Employers will receive support of the Parker Dewey team to scope the projects to align to their hiring goals

As part of this program, participating schools and organizations agree to engage students who may not otherwise have been able to access paid, career enhancing opportunities. This may be due to barriers such as:

• Academic program does not offer many paid internships
• Work or family obligations
• Athletics schedule

Student eligibility can be determined by the participating school or organization. Students can complete one or multiple Micro-Internships funded through this program with one or multiple participating employers. Eligible students may include:

• Undergraduate and/or graduate students
• Part-time or full-time students
• Alumni
• Non-degree seeking students

International students are eligible if they are legally authorized to work in the United States or able to obtain CPT or OPT from their school. They should confirm their eligibility by checking with their school’s international student office before applying for any Parker Dewey Micro-Internships.

Undocumented students must have valid US work authorization or Individual Taxpayer ID Number (ITIN).
