Micro-Internships offer students the chance to gain hands-on experience in their field of study, build professional networks, and explore potential career paths in Indiana. These projects can also lead to long-term employment opportunities including internships and full-time roles with local employers.
Micro-Internships offer organizations a low-risk way to access, engage, assess, and ultimately hire early-career talent. Through viewing the Micro-Internship's deliverable, the company can observe the quality of the student's work in order to see if they are a good fit for their team long-term.
Parker Dewey makes this process easy by providing a platform to quickly post these opportunities, engage the students, provide support to the students/organizations when working with each other, and process the payment to the student upon completion. Plus, there's no-cost to the company if they want to hire the student long-term.
Additionally, thanks to the generous support of IEDC and for a limited time, Indiana organizations can post Micro-Internships for Indiana students at no-cost. This is an opportunity to test drive Micro-Internships as a hiring tool to broaden your talent pipeline for entry-level hires.
No, there is no cost for students, schools, or employers to participate in the IEDC Micro-Internship Program. Program funding, including payment to the students, will be provided by the IEDC. The program is designed to provide equitable access to career-building opportunities for all students.
