The Kansas Micro-Internship (KMI) Program
Recruiting Your Student Ambassador
Your Student Ambassador can help you engage students and employers. Remember,
- The role of the Student Ambassador is to recruit at least 10 students to participate in the KMI Program
- You can pick the same or a different student each academic term: Fall, Winter, and Summer
- The Ambassador applies to the position and, upon completion, is paid by Parker Dewey
Post your KMI Student Ambassador position on Parker Dewey by following the steps below:
- Create an employer account on Parker Dewey. If you have a student account on Parker Dewey, you will need to use different email addresses for your employer account.
- For the Company section, list your college.
- When your account is created and you are still logged into the Parker Dewey platform, click on this link. This will pre-populate the Kansas Micro-Internship Program Student Ambassador application.
- Customize the Student Ambassador application by following these steps:
- In the Project Title, replace [SCHOOL NAME] with the name of your college. Do not change any other information in the description or payment sections.
- Adjust the start/end date so that it aligns with when you want to recruit for this position. We recommend ASAP!
- On the second screen, add additional application questions if you wish. Then click Post.
- Select a Student Ambassador via the Parker Dewey platform. You will receive an email from Parker Dewey each day a student applies for the Student Ambassador Position. To reach out to the student to request more information or to set up an interview, click on the Send Them a Message link in Parker Dewey.
